Materials Each Student Will Need...
Students will need:
PE Uniform: On day 1 of class, we will introduce students to the PE uniform which has changed from previous years.
For the 2018-19 school year the PE dept will be moving to a PE uniform to cut down on missed dress out days and to have uniformity among the class. The PE uniform will be a gray South Charlotte shirt with black shorts with an SC logo. The cost will be $20 for the shirt and shorts. There will be a package option for $25 the includes a durable string bag OR a water bottle. Bottles and bags are $5 each. The uniforms will be on hand to purchase at the Open House on Friday 8/25 and during the 1st week of school in PE class. Cash, on-line orders and checks will be accepted and can be made out to the South Charlotte Middle School. Paper order forms will be sent home in the packet students receive in home room on the first day of school.
See link to the paper order form at the bottom of the page or Pay online at http://osp.osmsinc.com/cms
Please email Christine Cowart [email protected] with any questions about the uniform.
On day 1 of class, students should have in class in their possession running or athletic shoes that can be
tied appropriately for class. Students will NOT be allowed to tuck in shoelaces or simply leave them untied.
A small CLEAR water bottle is going to be very important to your student this year. Students will NOT be
allowed to use aluminum or plastic water bottles that are not see through so don’t spend a lot of money on a
water bottle. I would even recommend that students write their name on a deer park water bottle and just
refill that bottle daily. Colored plastics are ok as long as the contents are easily visible. It is important to us
that students drink plain water to stay hydrated. Flavored / sugary drinks and sodas, etc. are not allowed in
water bottles as it is not healthiest for students and we can easily find ourselves with a huge ant problem
concerning sticky or sugary drinks. Thank you for your assistance on this.
A one subject spiral notebook with pencil or pen attached (perhaps with stings to the metal spiral).
Your child will need this every day and should keep it in their PE clothes bag.
A combination lock is optional once class starts on day 3 but the only type that will fit the locker
are the old school circular locks with the dial on the front.
